Infrared (IR) break-beam sensors are a simple way to detect motion. They work by having an emitter side that sends out a beam of human-invisible IR light, then a receiver across the way which is sensitive to that same light.An IR emitter shoots out a beam of light, facing an in-line receiver. If nothing is in the way, the receiver sees a signal. If the receiver fails to see an IR beam, it detects that an object is between the emitter and the receiver, and therefore present in the monitored area.
Active Infrared Beam Detectors (IR Beams) adopt the invisible infrared detection technology. It consists of a receiver and a transmitter, the transmitter emits 2-4 infrared beam, and the receiver will receive the infrared beam.
Infrared Fence Beams sensors are effective and unobtrusive methods for greatly increasing the level of protection at your home or business. Based on infrared technology, they can be configured to monitor the perimeter, driveways, swimming pools and unauthorized areas. These systems detect both people and vehicles and as such, are extremely versatile.
This IR (Infrared) beam sensor contains both an IR transmitter and the beam receiver. It can be used to capture anything that moves between the elements. It works great for water drops and is sensitive enough to capture a .22 cal bullet. We recommend this sensor for ballistics, water drops or any studio work, it is not recommended for use in bright sunlight.
The transmitter for this single infrared beam sensor has a control to adjust the power output. A lower setting should be used when the sensor elements are close together. This setting will maximize sensitivity at short distances. If the industry door infrared beams sensor is used with more distance between the elements the power level can be turned up to a higher power setting to increase the range. The sensor has a range of about 0.4m (16in). without the IR Lens Assembly and about 2m (6ft) with it. Only use the IR Lens Assembly when necessary as it will decrease sensitivity when used at a close range.
